# Multi-Branch in Irsaal milk shop software: run more than one shop > Switch on Multi-Branch, add branches, lock staff to a branch and let the administrator switch between shops or see All Branches. - Product: Irsaal Milk Shop Software, by Irsaal Software - Section: More modules - Page: https://irsaalsystems.com/help/milk-branches - Last updated: 2026-09-25 **Multi-Branch** lets one Irsaal Milk Shop Software account run more than one shop location, with each branch keeping its own customers, riders, stock sheets, accounts and money, and (if you wish) its own currency. It is the top-of-the-range option: an add-on to the plan ("Multiple branches", part of no plan on sale today) and a switch under **Settings → Modules**, and it is **off** until you switch it on. Every shop already has one branch, named after the shop, from the day it signs up; the plan pays for the second and later ones. Only the administrator manages branches. If you run a single shop you never need this guide. ## How do I switch Multi-Branch on and add a branch? 1. Open **Admin → Settings → Modules** and tick **Multi-Branch** ("Run more than one shop location, each with its own data and (optionally) currency. Adds the Branches screen and the branch switcher."). If the plan does not carry it the switch shows **Not on your plan** and **Upgrade your plan to switch it on**. Press **Save Settings**. 2. A **Branches** item appears under **Admin**. Open it. The page says "Manage your shop locations. Each branch keeps its own data." If the plan limits branches the button shows "N / N — Upgrade". 3. Press **Add Branch**. Type the **Name** (required, must be unique), and optionally **City**, **Phone**, **Address**, and keep **Active** ticked. Under **Currency override (optional)** you may give a **Code** (for example PKR) and **Symbol** (for example Rs) for this branch; left blank the branch follows **Settings → Currency & Region**. 4. Press **Save**. The message reads "Branch created successfully." The **Branches** table lists **Name**, **City**, **Phone**, **Users**, **Status** (press it to toggle **Active** / **Inactive**: "Branch activated." / "Branch deactivated.") and **Actions** (edit and delete). A branch that still has users assigned cannot be deleted: "Cannot delete a branch that still has users assigned." ## How do staff and the administrator use branches? - **The administrator** sees a branch picker in the top bar, **All Branches** or one branch. Choosing a branch ("Branch switched successfully.") narrows every screen and report to that branch, and new records made while a branch is chosen belong to it. **All Branches** shows the whole shop's figures together. - **Every other login** is locked to its branch. On **Admin → Users**, choose the **Branch** for the person ("Assign a branch to restrict this user to that branch's data") or **-- No Branch (Global) --** for someone who works across the shop. - **Records.** Riders, customers, suppliers, stock sheets, purchases, employees, expenses and accounts carry the branch they were made under. An account with no branch is a shared account and shows in every branch, alongside the branch's own accounts ([Cash / Bank accounts, transactions and expenses in Irsaal milk software](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/milk-accounts-and-expenses)). ## What should I know before I turn it on? - **Receipt printing:** with the Print Agent, receipts from every branch print on the one agent printer. If each branch has its own counter printer, keep **Print Mode** on the browser ([WhatsApp messages and receipt printing in Irsaal milk shop software](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/milk-whatsapp-and-printing)). - **Bulk imports** are filed under the branch that is chosen when you import, and an import preview expires if the branch changes ([Import customers, products and stock from Excel, and restore a backup, in Irsaal milk](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/milk-import-and-backup)). - Switching Multi-Branch off later only hides the branches: nothing is deleted, and turning it back on brings every branch back as it was. ## Frequently asked questions ### Can I run two milk shops on one Irsaal account? Yes, with the **Multi-Branch** add-on on the plan and the **Multi-Branch** switch on **Settings → Modules**. Each shop is a branch with its own customers, riders, stock and accounts, and the administrator switches between them or sees **All Branches** together. ### How do I stop a manager at one shop seeing the other shop's data? On **Admin → Users**, edit the manager and set their **Branch**. They then see only that branch's data. Leave **-- No Branch (Global) --** for people who should see everything (the administrator always can). ### Why is there no Branches menu? **Multi-Branch** is off on **Settings → Modules**, the plan does not include it, or you are not the administrator. ### Can each branch use a different currency? Yes. Set a **Code** and **Symbol** under **Currency override (optional)** on the branch. Left blank, the branch uses the shop's currency. ### I cannot delete a branch. It still has users assigned. Move them to another branch (or **-- No Branch (Global) --**) on **Admin → Users**, then delete it. You can also just press its **Status** to make it **Inactive**. ## Khulasa (Roman Urdu) Ek se zyada dukan ya depot chalane ke liye "Settings → Modules" mein "Multi-Branch" on karein (plan mein "Multiple branches" add-on hona chahiye). Phir "Admin → Branches → Add Branch" se naya branch banayen (naam, city, phone, chahein to currency alag). Administrator upar ke branch picker se "All Branches" ya kisi ek branch ka data dekhta hai; baqi staff apne branch tak mehdood hote hain, jo "Users" mein "Branch" chun kar tay hota hai.
