**Receiving / Unloading** in Irsaal Goods Transport Software is where the destination station checks a dispatched vehicle. Open **Operations → Receiving / Unloading** (page **Receiving / Unloading**): it lists every vehicle on its way to your station. When a vehicle arrives you open it, check every bilty off as it comes off the vehicle (all there, short, damaged or missing), pay the driver's balance if you wish, and press **Finish Unloading & Alert Receivers**. Every bilty that arrived becomes **Reached Destination** and its receiver is told. Only the destination station (or the administrator) can unload a vehicle: "Only the destination station can unload this vehicle." Opening the page needs **View** on **Receiving / Unloading**, and saving the unloading needs **Edit**.

## On this screen: Receiving / Unloading

The top block, **Vehicles on the Way** ("Open a vehicle when it arrives to check every bilty off."), shows one card per vehicle heading to this station with the vehicle number, driver, "From :station", the number of bilties and packages, "Left :time" and "Driver bakiya: Rs …". The button reads **Vehicle Arrived — Unload**, or **Continue Unloading** once unloading has been started. If nothing is coming: "No vehicle is on its way to this station." Below, **Recently Received** lists finished vehicles with **Challan**, **Vehicle**, **From**, **Bilties**, **Received** and **Bakiya**. A small number beside the menu item counts what is waiting there.

## How do I unload and check a vehicle?

1. Open the vehicle with **Vehicle Arrived — Unload**. The page is **Unloading — :vehicle**, showing where it came from, the driver, when it left, and the **Driver bakiya**. Opening it marks the challan **Unloading**.
2. Under **Check every bilty as it comes off the vehicle**, each bilty row shows **Bilty #**, **Receiver**, **Goods**, **Loaded** (the packages loaded), **Received** (type the packages that actually came off), **Condition** and **Remarks**. **All received OK** fills in every bilty as complete in one tap.
3. Choose the **Condition** of each: **OK**, **Short**, **Damaged** or **Missing**, and write what was wrong under **Remarks** ("What was wrong?"). Fewer packages than loaded marks a bilty **Short** automatically, and 0 received marks it **Missing**. **Damaged** is marked by hand. Add **Unloading notes** if there is anything to record about the vehicle.
4. Under **Clear the driver (Bakiya)** the box **Pay now** offers the balance still owed to the driver, and **From account** chooses where it comes from (**Station cash** by default). Set 0 to pay later from the challan page. Paying here needs the **Pay Driver Advance / Balance** button permission. It is recorded as money the destination station holds against the dispatching station ("Paying another station's driver is money this station has spent on that station's behalf").
5. Press **Finish Unloading & Alert Receivers** ("Finish unloading? Receivers will be sent their arrival alerts."). The message reads "12 bilties received at Karachi. Receivers have been alerted."

## What happens to each bilty?

- **OK** or **Short** or **Damaged**: the bilty becomes **Reached Destination** and moves to your **Delivery Desk**. Short and damaged ones are noted in the tracking history ("3 of 5 packages received (short)") and on the handover page ("Arrived short."). The receiver gets the **Reached destination** alert with the amount still to pay, if that alert is on (it is switched on by default once alerts are enabled).
- **Missing**: the bilty is not counted as arrived. It stays **In Transit**, off this challan, flagged "Not found when … was unloaded at …". When it turns up, open the bilty and press **Mark Arrived** ([How to book, print, edit and cancel a bilty in Irsaal goods transport](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-booking-bilties)).

The challan itself becomes **Received** and records who received it and when.

## What if I only paid part of the driver's balance, or none?

Pay the rest later: open the challan and use **Pay the driver** → **Record Payment** ([Loading challans and dispatching a hired vehicle in Irsaal transport](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-loading-challans)). You cannot pay more than the bakiya still owed.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I receive a vehicle in Irsaal goods transport software?

**Operations → Receiving / Unloading → Vehicle Arrived — Unload**, check each bilty's received packages and condition (or press **All received OK**), and press **Finish Unloading & Alert Receivers**.

### A parcel is missing. What do I do?

Set that bilty's **Condition** to **Missing** (or type 0 received) and write the details under **Remarks**. It stays **In Transit** and is flagged. If it is found later, press **Mark Arrived** on its page.

### What if fewer packages came than were loaded?

Type the number that actually came under **Received**: the bilty is marked **Short** automatically and the shortfall is recorded in its tracking history and on the handover page. Write the details under **Remarks**.

### Who tells the receivers their goods have arrived?

The software does, when you press **Finish Unloading & Alert Receivers**, if alerts are switched on and a gateway is set up ([Settings in Irsaal goods transport software: company, bilty and SMS alerts](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-settings-and-modules)). Otherwise open each bilty and use its **Send on WhatsApp** button.

### Do I have to pay the driver while unloading?

No. Set **Pay now** to 0 and pay later from the challan page. Paying needs the **Pay Driver Advance / Balance** permission.

### Why can't I see a vehicle in Receiving?

It has not been dispatched yet (a challan still **Loading** is not on the way), it is going to another station, or your login is posted to a different station. Only vehicles heading to your own station are listed; the administrator can switch stations from the top bar.
