To set up Irsaal Goods Transport Software for the first day, work in this order: company details, stations, staff logins and roles, freight rates, bilty printing, alerts, accounts, riders, then the first bilty. A new company already comes with **one station** (named after the company's city, with its own cash account "Cash — …"), five roles (**Administrator**, **Station Manager**, **Booking Clerk**, **Accountant**, **Rider**), nine expense categories, bilty numbering `{CODE}-{SEQ}` with three printed copies (sender, goods, office), four ready-made bilty terms, and alerts switched **off**. You change these; you do not start from nothing. After signing up you land on **Stations**, because every bilty is booked from one station to another.

## What do I do first?

1. **Company details.** Open **Admin → Settings → Company** and check **Company Name**, **Tagline**, **Head Office Address**, **City**, **Phone / Helpline**, **Email**, **Website**, **NTN / Registration No.** and **Logo**. They are printed on every bilty, challan and report, and the name starts every SMS. On **Region & Language** choose the **Country** (it fills in the currency), **Language** and **Time Zone**; on **Currency** set **Decimal Places** (most transporters use 0). Press **Save Settings** on each tab. See [Settings in Irsaal goods transport software: company, bilty and SMS alerts](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-settings-and-modules).
2. **Stations.** Open **Admin → Stations**. Check the first station's name, code and phone, and press **Add Station** for every other office. Each station code is printed on its bilty numbers and cannot be changed once it has booked bilties. Your plan decides how many stations you can open. See [Stations and freight rates in Irsaal goods transport software](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-stations-and-freight-rates).
3. **Staff logins and roles.** Open **Admin → Users** and press **Add User** for each person: name, email, password, an optional PIN, a **Role** and, for everybody except the owner, a **Station**. A clerk is posted to one station and sees only that office's work. Change what a role can do under **Admin → Roles**. See [Users, roles and station permissions in Irsaal goods transport software](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-users-roles-permissions).
4. **Freight rates (optional).** Open **Operations → Freight Rates** and add a rate per route (per kg, per package, minimum charge). It only suggests the freight on the booking form. See [Stations and freight rates in Irsaal goods transport software](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-stations-and-freight-rates).
5. **Bilty and challan printing.** On **Settings → Bilty & Challan** check the number format, the copies, the paper size (**A5**, **A4** or **80mm thermal roll**), the default payment type, the packing and vehicle types and the terms printed on the bilty.
6. **SMS and WhatsApp alerts.** On **Settings → SMS / WhatsApp Alerts** switch on **Send automatic alerts**, choose the channel, tick the messages, and enter a Veevo Tech, SendPK or custom gateway, then press **Send Test**. Without a gateway, every bilty page still offers a **Send on WhatsApp** button.
7. **Bank accounts.** Every station already has a cash account. Add bank or card accounts under **Finance → Cash / Bank / Card** if freight is ever paid into a bank. See [Cash Book, bank accounts, transactions and expenses in Irsaal goods transport](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-accounts-and-cash-book).
8. **Riders.** Open **Customers & Riders → Riders**, press **Add Rider**, tick **Enable rider portal login** and give a **Login Email** and **Password** or a **PIN**. Riders use the web Rider Portal, not an app. See [Riders and the Rider Portal in Irsaal goods transport (no rider app)](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-riders-and-rider-portal).
9. **Employees and attendance (optional).** Add staff under **HR & Payroll → Employees** and switch on the **Attendance** settings you want. See [Employees, wages and salary payments in Irsaal goods transport software](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-employees-and-payroll) and [Attendance, holidays and fingerprint attendance in Irsaal goods transport](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-attendance).
10. **Website (optional).** With the website add-on, set up **Website → Store Front** and press **Publish Now**. See [Company website, online booking and Online Users in Irsaal goods transport](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-company-website).

## What do I do on the first day?

1. **Book a bilty**: **Operations → New Bilty**, choose the destination, sender and receiver, add the goods, the freight and **PAID** or **TO-PAY**, and press **Book & Print Bilty**. See [How to book, print, edit and cancel a bilty in Irsaal goods transport](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-booking-bilties).
2. **Load a vehicle**: **Operations → Loading / Dispatch → Load** on the route, enter the vehicle, driver, kiraya and advance, tick the bilties and press **Save & Dispatch**. See [Loading challans and dispatching a hired vehicle in Irsaal transport](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-loading-challans).
3. **At the destination**: **Receiving / Unloading**, check each bilty and **Finish Unloading & Alert Receivers** ([Receiving and unloading a vehicle at the destination station in Irsaal](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-receiving-unloading)), then hand goods over at the **Delivery Desk** ([Delivery Desk: hand goods over, collect To-Pay freight, door delivery](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/transport-delivery-desk)).
4. **In the evening**: read **Finance → Cash Book**, count the drawer against the closing balance, and record expenses.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the order of setup in Irsaal goods transport software?

Company details, stations, users and roles, freight rates, bilty printing settings, alerts, accounts, riders. You need at least two stations before you can book a bilty, because a bilty goes from one station to another.

### Do I need to add a second station before booking?

Yes. The destination must be a different station ("The destination must be a different station."), so add the other office first under **Admin → Stations**. Your plan decides how many stations you can have.

### Why am I asked to add a station when I first sign in?

Every bilty is booked from one station to another, so naming your stations is the first thing a new transport company does. The first station is already created for you.

### Do I have to set up SMS alerts?

No. Alerts start off. Without a gateway each bilty page has a **Send on WhatsApp** button that opens WhatsApp with the message ready to send.

### Do I need freight rates?

No. They only suggest a figure; the clerk can type the agreed kiraya.

### Can I change the company name later?

Yes, on **Settings → Company**. The bilties, challans and reports printed afterwards use the new name.

## Khulasa (Roman Urdu)

Pehle "Admin → Settings → Company" mein company ka naam, phone aur logo, "Region & Language" mein mulk, zubaan aur time zone. Phir "Admin → Stations" mein apne daftar (pehla station pehle se bana hota hai; bilty ke liye kam az kam do station chahiye). Phir "Admin → Users" mein staff (Role aur Station ke sath), "Freight Rates" (chahein to), "Bilty & Challan" mein bilty ka number, copies aur paper, "SMS / WhatsApp Alerts", bank account aur riders ("Enable rider portal login" ke sath). Pehle din: "New Bilty" se bilty banayen, "Loading / Dispatch" se gari bhejein, manzil par "Receiving / Unloading" aur "Delivery Desk", aur shaam ko "Cash Book" dekhein.
