A **branch** in Irsaal Water Delivery Software is one depot of your business. Every business has one branch, the **Main** branch, from the day it signs up, so the **Branches** screen is never empty. Opening a second branch is what the plan pays for (the **Branches** add-on, on sale today with: Business). Each branch keeps its own customers, routes, riders, stock and cash, staff can be posted to one branch or allowed to read them all, and stock is bought into the main branch and then **issued** to the others on **Stock Transfers**.

## What does a branch keep separately?

Once a business runs more than one branch, these are filed under a branch and each branch sees only its own: customers, areas and routes, orders, deliveries, invoices and payments, subscriptions, customer ledgers and security deposits, accounts (cash and bank), expenses, sales and sale returns, purchases and purchase returns, 19 Ltr bottle movements and product stock movements, production batches and wastage, rider hand-overs (settlements), employees, attendance and work sessions. Riders and staff users are posted to a branch too.

A business with a single branch is never filtered at all: nothing it does is hidden by a branch it does not know it has. Anything created without a branch being chosen lands in the **Main** branch, such as a store front order, an import or the nightly order generator.

## How do I open a new branch?

1. Open **System → Branches** ("Each branch keeps its own routes, customers, riders, stock and cash. Staff can be posted to one, or read them all.").
2. Press **Add Branch** (needs **Branches → Add**). Fill in:
   - **Branch name** (required), for example "Sialkot Depot".
   - **Short code**, letters, numbers, dashes or underscores, such as SKT ("Quoted on the phone and printed on invoices"). It must be different for each branch in your business.
   - **Phone**, **Email**, **City**, **Address** and **Notes**.
   - **Make this the main branch**. Exactly one branch is the main one. It is where anything created without a branch lands.
3. Press **Add branch**. "Branch added. Staff can be posted to it from Users and Riders."

The screen shows your plan's limit ("Your plan allows 2 branches — 1 in use"). When the limit is reached, the button becomes "… of … used — upgrade" and takes you to the plans.

The list shows each branch with badges (**Main**, **Closed**, **You are here**), its contact details and how many **Customers**, **Routes** and **Staff** it holds. On each row:

- The door button (**Work in this branch**) makes it the branch you are looking at.
- **Edit** changes the details. It also has **Open for business**: untick it when a depot closes. Its history stays readable, but no new work can be filed under it.
- **Remove** deletes a branch. The main branch cannot be removed ("This is the main branch. Make another branch the main one first."), and neither can a branch that still holds customers, routes or orders ("This branch still holds 12 customers. Move them to another branch first, or switch this one off instead."). Anybody posted to a removed branch goes back to reading the whole company.

## How do I post a rider or staff member to a branch?

- **Riders**: on **System → Riders**, choose the **Branch** ("The depot this rider works out of. Their app shows that branch's round only.").
- **Staff**: on **System → Users & Roles**, choose the **Branch** ("Somebody posted to a branch sees only that branch's work."). Leave it blank to let that person read every branch.

## How do I switch between branches?

When your business runs more than one branch, and you are not posted to a single branch, a **branch button** with a building icon appears at the top of the panel. Press it to see **Work in**, then pick a branch, or pick **All branches** to read the whole company at once. **Manage branches** opens the Branches screen. The panel says "Now working in Sialkot." or "Now showing every branch."

Somebody who is posted to a branch has no switch: "Your account is posted to one branch, so it cannot be switched here." **All branches** needs a plan that includes the **Branches** add-on. Working in one branch at a time is a view, not a change to anybody's account.

## How do I send stock to another branch?

Stock is bought into the main branch and issued to the others. **Inventory & Sales → Stock Transfers** appears in the menu only once the business has a second branch (and you can open it with **Stock Transfers → View**). With one branch it says "There is nowhere to send stock yet" and links to **Open a second branch**. The screen ("Stock is bought into Main and issued out to the others.") has two boxes:

- **Send 19 Ltr bottles** (needs **19 Ltr Bottles → View**). It says how many full and empty bottles the main warehouse has. Choose **Send to**, enter the **Filled bottles** and **Empty bottles** to send, and an optional **Note** such as "Van 2, morning run", then press **Issue bottles**. It answers "40 bottle(s) issued to Sialkot." Only warehouse stock can be sent: bottles at a customer's door, on a van or standing at the plant belong where they physically are.
- **Send products** (needs **Products → View**). Choose the **Item** (it shows how many are in the main branch), **Send to**, the **Quantity** and an optional **Note**, then press **Issue stock**. It answers "10 × Pet issued to Sialkot." Send one item at a time; each is its own line in the branch's stock ledger.

Stock only ever leaves the main branch; there is no transfer from one branch to another. Both boxes need **Stock Transfers → Add** as well, and recent transfers are listed below them (**When**, **From → To**, and the quantity).

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I add a second branch in Irsaal water software?

Open **System → Branches** and press **Add Branch**. Enter the name, a short code and the contact details, then press **Add branch**. If the button says "… used — upgrade", your plan's branch limit is reached.

### Can I see all branches together?

Yes. If you are not posted to one branch, use the branch button at the top of the panel and choose **All branches**. It needs a plan that includes the **Branches** add-on.

### How do I move bottles or products to another branch?

Use **Stock Transfers**: **Send 19 Ltr bottles** with **Issue bottles**, or **Send products** with **Issue stock**. Stock is issued from the main branch only.

### Can a rider work in more than one branch?

No. A rider belongs to one branch, chosen under **System → Riders**, and their app shows that branch's round only.

### Branch ka rider ya staff kaise tay karte hain?

Rider ke liye "System → Riders" mein aur staff ke liye "System → Users & Roles" mein "Branch" chunen. Jis staff ko ek branch se jorha jaye woh sirf usi branch ka kaam dekhta hai; khali chhorenge to woh sab branch dekh sakta hai.

### Why can I not see Stock Transfers or Branches in the menu?

**Stock Transfers** appears only when the business has a second branch. **Branches** may show a padlock if the plan does not include the add-on, or be missing if your role has no **Branches → View**.

## Khulasa (Roman Urdu)

Har business ka ek "Main" branch pehle din se hota hai; doosra branch kholna plan ke "Branches" add-on se hota hai ("System → Branches → Add Branch"). Har branch ke apne customers, routes, riders, stock aur cash hote hain. Rider aur staff ko "Branch" chun kar kisi ek branch se jora jata hai; jo kisi branch se juda ho woh sirf usi ka kaam dekhta hai, baqi log upar wale button se branch badal sakte hain ya "All branches" dekh sakte hain. Maal pehle Main branch mein aata hai aur "Stock Transfers" mein "Issue bottles" ya "Issue stock" se doosre branch ko bheja jata hai; branch se branch tabadla nahi hota.
