**Irsaal Rider** is the Android app that water delivery riders use with Irsaal Water Delivery Software. A rider signs in with the email and password the office made under **System → Riders**, allows location, and gets their own round for the day. At each door they record the bottles delivered, the empties back and the payment, then print or share the invoice. At the end of the day they hand the cash and empties over from the **Ledger** tab. The app keeps the whole round on the phone, so deliveries, payments and expenses recorded with no signal are sent to the office by themselves when the signal returns.

A rider can also **add a new customer** from the app (the **New Customer** button), book a **New Order**, take a **Refill Order** from a phone call, collect an old balance, record an expense and pin a customer's door on the map. Whether each of those is allowed is the office's choice; see [Can a rider add a customer in the Irsaal water app? Rider permissions](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/water-rider-app-permissions).

## How does a rider install and sign in?

1. Install **Irsaal Rider** on the rider's Android phone from the link your office was given. If you do not have one, ask Irsaal support at [WhatsApp +92 345 6703860](https://wa.me/923456703860).
2. Open it. Four welcome cards ("Your round, in order", "Bottles, counted", "Cash and receipts", "Works with no signal") can be read with **Next** or skipped with **Skip**; **Get started** opens the sign-in screen.
3. On the sign-in screen ("Sign in to start your route"), type the **Email** and **Password** from **System → Riders**, and press **Sign in**. The rider stays signed in until they sign out.

**WHICH ROUND DO YOU WORK?** (**Water Delivery**, **Milk Shop**, **LPG Cylinder**) is only a hint about which colours to draw first. The account decides. A rider who taps the wrong one still signs in and lands on their own round, and the app says so: "Your account is a water delivery business — opening that round."

**Create a new account** on the sign-in screen is for business owners starting a free trial. It opens the website. Riders never need it, because the office creates their login.

If an office account (not a rider) signs in, the app shows **Your panel is on the web** and **Open my panel**, which opens that person's web panel already signed in. Riders who land there should press **Sign out** and use their rider login.

### What are the sign-in error messages?

| Message | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Invalid credentials.** | The email or password is wrong. Check them under **System → Riders**; the edit button sets a new password. |
| **Account is deactivated.** | The rider's **Active** box is unticked. Tick it and save. |
| **This company's subscription is not active. Contact your office.** | The business's trial or subscription has lapsed. |
| **This app is not on your plan** | The plan does not include the rider app. Nothing the rider recorded is lost. The office adds the rider app to the plan and the rider presses **Check again**. |
| **Your session was ended on the server. Please sign in again.** | The rider was signed out (for example by **Replace**, or the account was disabled). Sign in again. |

## What does the app ask for the first time?

The **What the app needs** screen ("Say yes to these once and the app can do its job") asks for:

- **Notifications**, so a new order from the office reaches the rider while the phone is in their pocket.
- **Location** (**Required**), so the office's live map works and the app can check the rider is at the customer's door.
- **Nearby devices**, so the app can reach a Bluetooth belt printer.

Press **Allow all**. Location is required: the app only opens once location is allowed and the phone's location (GPS) is on. If it says **Phone location is off**, press **Turn on location**. If a permission shows **Blocked**, Android will not ask again, so press **Open app settings** and switch it on there. If the rider later switches location off, the screen comes back. These can be checked again from **Profile → Printer & settings → App permissions**.

## What does the rider see each day?

With the **Subscription System** module on, the app opens on **Route** ("Today's Route"). Its tabs at the bottom are **Route**, **Schedule**, **Ledger** and **Profile**.

- **Route.** The four figures at the top are **Stops today**, **Booked orders**, **Bottles (19L)** and **On schedule** (the number already delivered). Below them are the quick actions and today's stops in order. Each stop shows the customer's bottles held ("Holds 3/5"), empties to collect and any amount due. Buttons in the header: **Find order by number** (magnifier), the **voice guide**, **Sync**, and **My tasks** (the bell, with the number of unread jobs from the office). **Map** opens the round on a map.
- **Schedule** ("Schedule Orders"): stops booked for the coming days, for **Next 7 days**, **Next 14 days** or **Next 30 days**.
- **Ledger**: the day's money; see below.
- **Profile**: the rider's photo, phone number, routes, work so far, printer and language settings, and **Sign out**.

The quick actions on **Route** are **New Order**, **Refill Order**, **My Customers**, **Collect Payment**, **New Customer** and **Add Expense**. A button the office has not allowed is not drawn at all.

If the business has switched off **Subscription System**, the app opens on **My Customers** instead (a list of the rider's assigned customers, with **Search name, phone or address** and **Bottles out first**). Its tabs are **Customers**, **Payment**, **Ledger** and **Profile**, and the quick actions are **New Order**, **Refill Order**, **Find Order**, **Collect Payment**, **New Customer** and **Add Expense**. The **Payment** tab only appears if the rider may collect payments.

### What is on the round map?

**Map** opens the **Route map**: the rider's own position, every stop that has a pinned door, and the **Next stop**. It has **List** and **Map** switches, **Satellite** and **Roads**, **Filters** (**All stops**, **Still to do**, **Done**) and **Show the whole round**. Tap a stop for **Navigate**, **Arrived**, **Call** and **More**. **Direction** draws the road from the rider to that door and **Location photo** shows what the door looks like. **How are you travelling?** (**Bike**, **Car**, **Bus**, **Walk**) makes the road suit the vehicle. **Navigate** hands over to the phone's maps app for turn-by-turn.

## How does a rider record a delivery?

1. Tap the customer's stop.
2. Enter **19L Delivered (full)** and **Empty Collected**. Empty Collected matches delivered ("Matching delivered — tap ± to change") unless changed with ±. Enter **Damaged Returned** if any came back broken.
3. Add any **Pets (up-sell)** sold with **Add pet**. Only whole packs are sold, never loose bottles, and a pet that is **out of stock** cannot be added.
4. Choose the **Payment**: **Cash**, **Online** or **Credit**. Type the **Amount received**, or press **Full**. What is not received goes to the customer's balance ("Goes to their balance").
5. Check the **Live Invoice** (**Refill**, **Pets**, **Extra security**, **Total**, **New holding**, **Deposit allows**, **Damage penalty (wallet)**) and press **Save Refill & Print Invoice**. For an order already paid when it was booked, the button is **Confirm Delivery**.
6. Print on the Bluetooth printer (**Print on Bluetooth roll**) or **Share Invoice** with the customer.

If the customer will hold more bottles than their deposit covers, the app says so: either "Rs. … new security added" (when **Take security deposits at the door** is on) or "Nothing added to this bill; the office will follow it up." If the customer has an old balance, a note says to take it separately with **Collect Payment**.

An order marked **Just hand it over** has a single **Mark Delivered** button ("Hand this over?"), because the office has already done everything else. A stop that cannot be made is skipped with **Skip** ("Skip this order?") and an optional reason. **Skip** is offered only on booked stops, and only if the office allows skipping.

A rider can also deliver an order that is not on their own route: **Find Order** takes the **Order number** and shows the customer, address, bottles to deliver and balance. If it belongs to another rider the app says so ("You can still deliver it — the admin will see that you did") and **Deliver this order** opens the delivery screen.

### Why does the app say "Not at the door yet"?

The customer's door is pinned on the map. Under the office's delivery check, a delivery can only be marked within a set distance of the pin (100 m unless the office changed it). The message reads "You are 300 m from Ali's door. A delivery can only be marked within 100 m of the door." Walk to the customer's door and try again. The app also refuses while a fake-location app is switched on, and when the phone gives no location at all. A customer whose door has not been pinned can always be delivered to. See [Irsaal water delivery software: common problems and fixes](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/water-troubleshooting) and [Live Tracking in Irsaal water software: rider map and delivery proof](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/water-live-tracking).

### How does a rider pin a customer's door?

Open the customer (**My Customers** → the name) and press **Pin this door** (or **Update the pin**) under **Delivery location** while standing at it. Drag the map so the pin sits exactly on the door (**Use where I am standing** jumps back to the phone's position), add a **Landmark** such as "Green gate, second lane after the mosque", and take a **Photo of the door** (**Take a photo** or **Choose from gallery**). The next rider can then press **Navigate** to go straight there, and **Photos of the door** shows every picture taken. A rider can pin only customers on their own round; another rider's customers are read-only. This needs **Delivery Location & Photo** on, and the office to allow it.

## How does a rider add a new customer?

Press **New Customer** on **Route** (or on the home list). The form is headed **New Customer** ("Open the account. The order comes next.") and says: "For somebody new. A customer already on your company's books — with an old balance or a deposit already paid — is added at the office."

- **Name** is required. **Phone** and **Address** are optional but help find the customer later.
- **Residential** or **Commercial**.
- **Bottles they may hold**: the most bottles the customer may hold. It only decides anything where no deposit is taken.
- **This customer's price**: **Refill per bottle** and **Security per bottle**, filled in at the company rate ("Company rate: Rs. …"). Change them only if a different price was agreed at the gate; whatever is saved is what their orders are charged from then on. An amount must be above 0, or left alone for the company rate.
- **Area & route**: the rider's own route is chosen for them ("(my route)"). The route decides who serves the customer and where they appear on the round. With **Rider Assignment** on, a route must be chosen when routes exist.
- **Their door**: pin and photo, if **Delivery Location & Photo** is on and the office allows it.
- **Their own bottles**: bottles the customer already owned, if **Customer Personal Bottles** is on, and **Swap them for ours** if **Swap Their Bottles For Yours** is on.
- **Refill schedule**: a standing schedule, if **Subscription System** is on and the office allows schedules.

Press **Save Customer**. The customer is filed under this rider, marked in the office as added from the Rider app by them. The app then asks **Customer added — Book their first order now, or leave it for later.** with **New Order** or **Not now**. Adding a customer needs a connection; it is not saved for later. If the plan's customer limit has been reached, the form says **Customer limit reached** and refuses.

## How does a rider take a payment for an old balance?

Open **Collect Payment** (or the **Payment** tab). It lists customers who owe money, with **Total Outstanding**. Tap one (**Tap to collect**), type the **Amount**, choose cash or online and press **Record Payment**. The app then asks **Print receipt?**. The payment is on the rider's name until the office approves their day. It can be saved with no signal.

## How does a rider hand over the day?

1. Open **Ledger** (**My Daily Ledger**). It shows the day's deliveries, cash and online collections (**Cash collected**, **Bank / online**, **Total collected**), bottles (**Filled delivered**, **Empty collected**, **Damaged**, **Handed in**), a **Customer-wise** list and **Every payment taken**.
2. Anything spent on the round, such as fuel, goes under **Spent on the round** with **Add**. Only cash spent comes off the hand-over (**Cash to hand over**). A rider can add an expense but never change or delete one; an admin corrects it.
3. Under **Hand over to admin**, enter **Cash handed (Rs.)** and **Empty bottles handed in**. Add a **Note for the admin (optional)**.
4. Press **Submit Ledger**.

A day can only be submitted once ("Ledger submitted."). The office approves it in **Rider Ledger**, which moves the cash into the company's accounts and the empties into stock. Until then they stay on the rider's name, and the screen says **Awaiting approval**, then **Approved**. Days a rider forgot are listed ("2 ledgers not submitted"), and **Also submit my missed days** sends them in with today's. Submitting sends straight to the office, so it needs a connection. See [Rider Ledger: approving a rider's cash and empty bottles](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/water-rider-ledger).

## What happens with no internet?

The whole round is kept on the phone. With no signal a rider can still record **deliveries** (including **Mark Delivered**), **payments**, **skips**, **expenses** and **door pins and photos**. They are saved on the phone ("Saved on the phone. It will reach the office by itself.") and sent when the signal returns, once each, however many times it is sent. The bill is worked out on the phone at the customer's own rate, and the printed bill is ready once it reaches the office.

Adding a **New Customer**, booking a **New Order** and **Submit Ledger** are sent straight to the office and need a connection. Deliveries queued offline are never refused later for their location; they are flagged for the office.

The **Sync** screen (the arrows in the header) shows **Everything has reached the office**, or **Waiting to reach the office**, or **Needs your attention** if the office could not accept something. **Sync now** tries straight away, and **Discard** throws away an item that was already recorded another way.

## What is in Profile and Settings?

**My Profile** shows the rider's photo (**Change profile photo**: **Take a photo** or **Choose from gallery**), **Email**, **Phone** (**My phone number** can be saved), **My routes**, and **My work** (**Customers**, **Deliveries**, **Today**, **Filled out**, **Empties in**, **Receivable**). **Printer & settings** opens **Settings**:

- **Language**: English or اردو. The whole app, including the voice guide, follows the choice.
- **Voice guide**: reads each screen out and takes spoken commands; **Speaking speed** is **Slow**, **Normal** or **Fast**.
- **Live Location**: **Share my location with admin** and **Send location now**. The office's Live Tracking and Live Map use it.
- **Bluetooth Printer**: pair the printer in the phone's own Bluetooth settings first. Press **Scan paired**, choose the printer and press **Test print**. Set the **Paper width**: most belt printers are 58 mm, so pick 80 mm only if the roll is wider. **Forget** removes it.
- **App permissions**: **Check again** and **Send a test** notification.

**My tasks** (the bell) lists the jobs the office sent: new deliveries, refills to pick up and money to recover.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can a rider add a new customer in the Irsaal water rider app?

Yes, unless the office has turned it off. Press **New Customer**, type the name (the only required box), phone, address, route and price, and press **Save Customer**. It works by default. It stops only if **Rider App Permissions** is on under **Settings → Modules** and **Add new customers** is not ticked; the button then disappears, or the app says "Your office has disabled this rider action". A customer who already owes money or holds a deposit is added at the office, not in the app.

### Rider customer add kar sakta hai?

Ji haan. Rider app mein "New Customer" dabaye, naam (zaroori), phone, address aur route likh kar "Save Customer" dabaye. Agar office ne "Settings → Modules → Rider App Permissions" mein "Add new customers" ka tick hata diya ho to button nazar nahi aata. Purana baqaya ya jama security wala customer office se add hota hai.

### How does a rider log in to the Irsaal Rider app?

Type the email and password the office set under **System → Riders**, and press **Sign in**. The **WHICH ROUND DO YOU WORK?** choice is only a hint; the account decides which round opens.

### Rider ko customers nazar kyun nahi aa rahe?

### The app says "This app is not on your plan". What now?

The business's subscription does not include the rider app. Nothing the rider recorded is lost. The office adds the rider app to the plan, and the rider presses **Check again**. See [Irsaal pricing: plans for water and LPG delivery software](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/irsaal-pricing).

### A customer is missing from the rider's route.

They have no route, their route has another rider, or they are inactive. The office checks the customer's **Route** and **Assigned Rider**. Pull down to refresh the app afterwards. With **Rider Assignment** off, every rider sees every active customer.

### Why does the app show another rider's customers?

The office has given you the round of a rider who is on leave. A banner on the home screen says whose round it is and until when, and each of their customers and stops is marked **Covering:** with their name. Deliver to them as you do to your own; what you deliver and collect is on your own ledger. They leave your list by themselves when the cover ends. An app older than 2.16.0 shows those customers without the banner and the mark. See [Areas, routes and riders in Irsaal water delivery software](https://irsaalsystems.com/help/water-areas-routes-riders).

### Can two riders use one phone?

Each rider should sign in with their own login, because the cash and empties they collect are recorded on their name. Sign out from **Profile** before handing the phone over. Sign-out keeps any unsubmitted ledger on the rider's name.

### Does the app work in Urdu?

Yes. Change it under **Profile → Printer & settings → Language**. The whole app, including the voice guide, follows the choice.

### Can a rider see customers' phone numbers?

Yes, unless the office switched on **Hide Customer Phone from Riders** under **Settings → Modules**. Numbers, call buttons and shared invoices then show no phone.

## Khulasa (Roman Urdu)

Rider "Irsaal Rider" app mein office ka diya hua email aur password (System → Riders) dalta hai. "WHICH ROUND DO YOU WORK?" sirf ishara hai, asal round account se khulta hai. Pehli dafa "Allow all" dabayen; location zaroori hai, iske baghair app nahi khulti. "Route" par aaj ke customers hain aur quick buttons: New Order, Refill Order, My Customers, Collect Payment, New Customer, Add Expense. Rider naya customer bhi add kar sakta hai ("New Customer"), jab tak office ne Rider App Permissions mein mana na kiya ho. Har darwaze par bharay bottles, khali bottles aur payment likh kar "Save Refill & Print Invoice" dabayen. Agar "Not at the door yet" aaye to customer ke darwaze ke qareeb jayen. Din ke aakhir mein "Ledger" mein cash aur khali bottles likh kar "Submit Ledger" karein. Internet na ho to delivery, payment, expense aur pin khud save ho kar baad mein bhej di jati hain; naya customer, naya order aur Submit Ledger ke liye internet chahiye.
